Children with neuromotor disabilities can receive comprehensive evaluation and treatment services at Child Health Services (CHS) through this collaborative program. A neuromotor disability is characterized by an inability to control gross and/or fine motor functions. Typically, one or more of the following may be occurring: spasms, tonal problems, involuntary movements, and gait and mobility control. Neuromotor dysfunction is usually permanent, and treated with physical therapy, applied devices, and education for both the disabled person and caregivers.
