| Throughout its 30 years, Child Health Services has been fortunate to have been helped by volunteers in innumerable ways. CHS volunteers fulfill a wide variety of important roles from serving on the agency’s board, to helping with transportation needs for our families. All share one thing in common – the belief that helping a child grow into a healthy and independent young adult is a worthwhile cause for the individual and the community.
Board members are actively engaged in ensuring that the agency employs the best business practices possible while utilizing resources in the most cost efficient manner. They bring diverse professional perspectives to the agency that is greatly valued. Their oversight and leadership makes certain that the CHS is doing its very best in achieving its mission: improving the lives of at risk children and adolescents.
Within the agency, CHS relies on volunteers to help support family needs through the Community Resource Project, Family Literacy Night, organizing Holiday Food Baskets, and assisting with Sepcial Events and programs throughout the year. Volunteers are a wonderful component our team that helps to build a brighter future for the children we serve.
