Nutrition, Feeding & Swallowing Program

Our Nutrition, Feeding and Swallowing Program provides home- and community-based consultation to families of children from throughout New Hampshire who have special health care needs with nutrition and/or feeding and swallowing challenges. Pediatric dietitians assist children with a variety of complex feeding concerns such as gastrointestinal and respiratory disorders; cardiac and genetic disorders; cleft lip and/or palate; cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders; failure to thrive; food allergies; tube feeding; underweight and overweight growth; swallowing disorders; oral motor feeding problems; and general feeding issues.

Once enrolled in the program, your Nutrition, Feeding & Swallowing Dietician and/or Specialist will:

  • Assess the child's nutrition and feeding & swallowing and provide follow-up support services
  • Consult to Early Support Services and school teams
  • Develop Safe Eating Plans and Diet Order forms for school meal programs
  • Coordinate and assess swallow studies
  • Attend specialty clinics with families
