Volunteering

Volunteers play a vital role at Child Health Services. They tutor, shop for food, drive, care for children, perform administrative tasks, complete projects, and assist with fundraising events.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Drivers: Many CHS families need help with transportation. Adults over 21 years of age are needed to drive during such events as dental clinic, summer camp, and other appointments.

Office Assistants: Support for our office staff is often needed. Someone who likes to make copies, set up charts, file, or use the computer for special projects would be appreciated.

Child Care Providers: Volunteers are needed to occasionally provide care in our waiting room while the parent/guardian is at an appointment.

Camp Assistant - (January to July): Volunteer is needed to assist our Camp Coordinator with obtaining information regarding camps, entering information into computer, generating donations, and other miscellaneous tasks.

Tutoring: Volunteers are needed to assist children who are having difficulty academically in specific classes or school subjects. The volunteer must have knowledge in that specific academic area, be patient, and be able to relate well to children.

Toy Washer: A volunteer is needed weekly to wash examination and waiting room toys. Volunteer must not be allergic to cleaning supplies and must be available on a Monday or Tuesday afternoon.
