Child Health Services offers numerous volunteer opportunities. We can match you with a project that fits your interests and your schedule, whether short-term or long-term, weekly or just a few hours per month. Volunteer opportunities include:
Community Resource Project Help connect families with community resources, such as food, material goods, baby equipment and fuel assistance. Assist families with completing and submitting applications for services such as NH Healthy Kids insurance, NH Health Access Network and hospital charitable care.
Family Literacy Project On Tuesday evenings, help children, adolescents and adults with homework, SAT preparation, reading skills, English-language skills, job applications and resumes, and other components of family literacy.
We also utilize childcare volunteers to care for children on-site while parents or guardians meet with the children's care teams.
Drivers Transport families in CHS' vehicles to local and long-distance medical appointments and transport children to enrichment programs.
Food Pantry and Nutrition Kitchen Volunteers stock shelves for emergency food supplies, cooking classes and nutrition counseling sessions.
Tutors Volunteers work one-on-one with children of all ages to help them improve academic performance.
If you wish to help, but are unable to volunteer in person, we ask you to consider coordinating a drive in your community, at your church, school or workplace to support Child Health Services.
